In My Travel Bag: Skincare Edition
As I was beginning to pack my travel skincare bag for the upcoming holiday, I thought it would be fun to share with you what products I'm packing! Because my holiday is quite extensive (2 weeks to be exact) I have to cover all my basis and make sure my skin is supported through climate and time zone change! I will be talking about both products I'm checking in my suitcase as well as the ones I'm bringing with me on the airplane to supercharge my skin in the air! All of these are my absolute faves and work wonderfully with my sensitive skin. If you want to see me actually pack my bag full - head over to my IG stories for some live action! 🎥
To cleanse my skin I'm bringing two products that I know to perform incredibly well - the Pai Skincare Gentle Cleanser and my new fave Kahina Giving Beauty Oil Cleanser. I follow the two-step cleansing method, where I remove my makeup with an oil based product first and then follow it up with a proper cleanser. This method and these products leave my skin very clean and balanced at the same time!
Balance & Tone:
After cleansing, I like to make sure my PH levels are balanced and my skin is toned. My favorite product for this step is the Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator . Smells absolutely divine and leaves my skin feeling the same! More dits HERE.
Next up is when serums and oils/cream come into play! For the morning time I like to focus on protecting my skin from the UV rays and pollution by using the 100% Pure Vit C Serum followed by Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 (learn more about my morning routine HERE) and for the night time I focus more on hydrating and strengthening my skin by using Pai Back To Life Hydration Serum followed by Osea Essential Hydrating Oil. For my lips, I will be bringing my all time favorite lip balm - Hurraw! Moon Lip Treatment Balm.
Hair & Body:
Keeping hair & body routine relatively simple for this vacay as I'm traveling home to visit my family and not spend days in the sun at the beach. In this way, my hair & body will not be needing extra care and attention! I'm bringing my fave shampoo and conditioner from the Josh Rosebrook hair care line! His line is very natural and perfect for times when you need to wash your hair often! I'm also packing two faves from Kaia Naturals: the Charcoal Deodorant in Nordic Frost and the Overnight Dry Shampoo in Brunette ( get 20% OFF your entire Kaia Naturals order with code CONSCIOUSBEE20 !) I talk in more detail about why I love this natural dry shampoo HERE. Final body product is my favorite perfume - Zents Attar in scent Fig (15% with valeria15). It's so refreshing and crisp - I love it!
In-flight Skincare Magic:
As an ex-flight attendant, I will say this - Cleanse and Hydrate. You need to keep your skin (and your immediate seat are -armrest, tray table, tv screen) very clean. I'm not the biggest fan of the water of airplanes either and prefer to use face wipes. My current favorites are the Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes - they remove oil and grime without stripping skin of moisture or irritating it even one bit! Next up, I will be using the Little Barn Apothecary Aloe + Rosewater Mist to balance my skin and prep it for the face oil. I decided to pack the Osea Essential Hydrating Oil because it's compact & very easy and clean in the application as it comes with a rollerball. Now, I'm ready for some in-flight entertainment!
This skincare menu is perfect for travel of any length as it covers all the basics but also doesn't involve any unnecessary products. I would most definitely recommend bringing the 100 Percent Pure "Does it all" Sheet Mask if you have room as it's an incredible multitasker and doesn't take too much space! (more dits on as to why I'm obsessed with it HERE)
