Green Beauty Misses

Green Beauty Misses

Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ Today we’re talking about those unfortunate times when they indeed don’t or at least not the way you anticipated.
The time has come for a little round up of Green Beauty Products that were a ‘miss’ for me. 🌿
Now, even though most of us know this, I would still like to prefix this by saying that just because something didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it couldn’t work for somebody else. We are all different and have various expectations and product preferences. With that said, let’s move on onto some Green Beauty Product Disappointments from the past few months! Thankfully the list is not long! 👀
🍋First on the list, The Limited Edition palette by Inika Organics. I purchased this palette as I was missing matte eyeshadows in my collection, which in my opinion are necessary for more structured looks. Unfortunately, the best way to describe the eyeshadows in this palette would be to say they are flat. There’s not enough pigment and they are quite powdery. I tried using a setting spray on my brush before application to bring some more pigment out of them but that didn’t help either. Overall I’m not happy with this product and I feel like they are way better options on the market, especially at this price point.
🍋Next up two liners from Au Naturale. One of them is an eyebrow pencil in Blake and the other one is a lip liner in Primrose. Both of these are similarly formulated from my perspective and the problem for me is that they are two “waxy” and because of that the pigment doesn’t adhere to the skin as well as it should. I realize that maybe in different shades those might have a better performance (with darker pigments for example) but at least this two did not work for me.
🍋Last one is a foundation from Gressa Skin. I ordered the sample kit after I heard raving reviews about this serum foundation and I was pretty disappointed with the size of samples when they arrived. I mentioned this, because if you’re hesitant about ordering the sample kit for bis particular reason - don’t be. This foundation is SO pigmented that one sample will last you a good while. I personally transferred the foundation in a little pot and used it like that. Now, I have tried applying this foundation in different ways and on different moisturizers/primers but whatever I tried it didn’t end up working out for me. The coverage was great every time l, however, it would always look too greasy on me while somehow drying out my skin at the same time? ( and yes I did shake it a bunch before application as you're supposed to with any serum foundations) Whatever it is, I don’t enjoy wearing it and I’m happy I got the sample kit first as it is on the pricier side. 🛍
💭 What green products have you tried recently that didn’t work out for you? Do you like seeing “misses” posts from me and would like me to “hits” one as well? Let me know! 💕

💝 P.S. For those who are wondering what I do with products I don’t end up liking - I donate the gently used ones (that fit the criteria ) to Project Beauty Share and the ones that cannot be donated I try to find friends/coworkers who would love to give them a go! 💝
