Let’s talk foundation!
Now that it’s winter, my skin is getting a little dryer I wanted to get something with hydrating properties. I was curious about Phyto-Pigment Foundation by Juice Beauty for a while now, and when I saw their Black Friday deals I decided that it was a perfect opportunity to try it! This foundation is described as buildable to a full-coverage foundation and is formulated with coconut alkanes and antioxidants for hydrated, radiant skin. First time I applied it, I used a beauty blender and was definitely not happy with the coverage even after two pumps of the product. The second time I tried applying it with a brush from Real Techniques and that definitely helped. However, as somebody who suffers from rosacea and has a good amount of discoloration because of it, it definitely didn’t cover enough. It did, however, feel very soothing on the skin and wore beautifully throughout the day. It definitely has a dewy finish, and as somebody with normal/combination skin, I did have to powder during the day. Overall I think its a beautiful foundation, and if you have normal to dry skin and you’re looking for a medium coverage foundation that has natural ingredients and feels hydrating - I would definitely consider giving it a go! ✨
On a different note, my order came with a sample of their Liquid Lip in shade Blythe and I must say I really enjoyed wearing it. It doesn’t dry down like a normal liquid lip, it’s has more of the lipgloss/lip balm feel to it. 👄
